Every estimate starts with a free, on-site visit — we don’t quote tree work over the phone or from a photo, because access, lean direction, and root condition all affect price and can’t be judged remotely.
Before We Arrive
You don’t need to do anything to prepare, though it helps if we can access the tree without obstruction and if you’re available to point out any underground features like irrigation lines, septic fields, or buried utilities you’re aware of.
During the Visit
- We look at the tree itself: size, species, lean, and any visible signs of decay or structural weakness
- We check access — how equipment will reach the tree and where debris will need to go
- We identify anything nearby that needs protection: fencing, landscaping, structures, power lines
- We talk through what you want: full removal, stump grinding, keeping firewood, timeline
What You’ll Get
A firm, written price — not a range that changes once work starts — along with a clear explanation of what’s included: removal, cleanup, and stump grinding if requested. If we spot something during the assessment that changes our recommendation, like a tree that looks fine but has hidden decay, we’ll explain what we found and why it matters.
How Long It Takes
Most on-site estimates take 15-30 minutes depending on how many trees are involved. You’ll typically have a written quote before we leave, or shortly after for more complex jobs that need extra planning.
Estimate FAQ
Is the estimate really free, no obligation?
Yes. There’s no cost or obligation to book after an estimate.
Do I need to be home for the estimate?
It helps, especially so you can point out anything specific you want addressed, but it’s not strictly required if the tree is easily accessible.
Will the price change once the job starts?
No, the quoted price is firm based on what we see during the assessment, unless conditions are discovered during work that genuinely weren’t visible beforehand, which we’d discuss with you immediately.
