What Complete Tree Removal Cleanup Includes

Complete cleanup after tree removal means logs, brush, wood chips, and small debris are gone, and the yard looks the way it did before the tree came down, minus the tree. Here’s exactly what’s included, and what usually costs extra.

What’s Included in Standard Cleanup

  • All brush and small branches chipped or hauled away
  • Logs cut and removed, or left as firewood if you’d like to keep them
  • Sawdust and wood chip debris raked off the lawn
  • Any equipment ruts filled and leveled
  • A final walkthrough with you before we leave

What’s Usually Separate

Stump grinding is typically quoted separately from removal, since not every homeowner wants it done immediately. Hauling large amounts of firewood you want to keep isn’t included since it’s staying on your property. Extensive landscaping repair beyond basic rut-filling — replanting grass, replacing shrubs that had to be removed for access — is usually a separate conversation, though we’re happy to point you toward it or coordinate directly.

Can You Keep the Firewood?

Yes. If you want to keep some or all of the wood for firewood, let us know before the job and we’ll cut it to length and stack it where you want, instead of hauling it away. This can also lower your total cost slightly since it reduces disposal.

What Happens to the Wood We Haul Away

Removed logs and brush are hauled to a licensed disposal or recycling facility. Wood chips from grinding are sometimes usable as mulch on your own property if you’d rather keep them than have them hauled off.

Cleanup FAQ

Do you leave wood chips or take them with you?

Your choice. We can leave chips as mulch or haul them off as part of standard cleanup.

Is stump grinding part of the removal price?

It’s typically quoted separately, though we’re happy to bundle it into one estimate if you want it done the same day.

Will my lawn need reseeding after cleanup?

Usually not, beyond filling any equipment ruts. If a large section of grass was affected by the drop zone, we’ll flag it and can point you toward reseeding options.
